(Updated March 2018 – take a look at the comments)
So, the big news at this time is that the UK copyright on War of the Worlds expired on 31 December 2016. That means that the audio production of the original novel can commence, and looks like being released sometime around April/May this year. You can find details here. As one of the Kickstarter backers on this project, I’m excited!
Also, there is a sequel that’s been released, by Stephen Baxter, called The Massacre of Mankind. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but having read his followup to The Time Machine, I an looking forward to it.
And of course, Ironclad Games is pushing ahead with All Quiet, so go to their website here to find out more.
All in all, it’s looking good for War of the Worlds this year!

So, the game and this site has lived up to the name… All Quiet.
For my part, work commitments have kept me from doing more with the game. However, my passion for The War of the Worlds, and this game has not subsided.
And I’m pushing to make 2018 a better year… finishing my forces and sharing the adventures of The Mobile Armored Corps under the command of Patton. Look out as well for Commodore Hornblower and the BEF. It may be a small force, but HMLS Primrose Hill is no pushover. Add to that the arrival of Whittenbury’s Warriors, and it looks like Patton will be giving it to the Martians very soon!
Keep calm and Martian on!

Just up on the JOURNAL section is the introduction to Whittenbury’s Warriors, a group of battle tested veterans sent to join up with Patton and the Mobile Armored Corps. Look out for more in the coming months, and how Patton shapes his force to take on the Martians!
